JMGO has started selling its Iris Ultra Max projector beyond China, positioning the new all-in-one model around the demands of large-screen gaming and fast live sport. The Google TV device combines a 4K image with a 120Hz refresh rate, while its specifications emphasize high light output, flexible installation and features designed to smooth play from compatible game systems. Its arrival puts the company’s latest flagship into an increasingly competitive premium-projector segment.

The Iris Ultra Max takes its name from a dual-iris optical arrangement that JMGO says is central to its image-performance claims. Rather than relying on a single adjustable opening, the projector uses two physical apertures at separate locations in the light path. The company says that approach gives it tighter control of both brightness and stray light, which in turn is intended to improve the difference between dark and bright areas of a picture.

JMGO rates the projector’s native contrast at 10,000:1. That figure refers to contrast produced by the hardware itself, rather than an effect added after the image has been processed. The claim matters because controlling black levels and unwanted light spill has long been a difficult part of projector design. The dual-iris system is JMGO’s proposed answer, though independent testing will be needed to establish how the number translates to real viewing conditions.

Brightness is the other major part of the announcement. The company says a triple-laser light engine can produce 6,500 ISO lumens, an unusually large stated output for an integrated projector. The figure is meant to support a picture capable of standing out in brighter settings, while the 4K, 120Hz combination targets material where movement is especially conspicuous. JMGO is therefore presenting the product as a single-screen option for both entertainment and interactive use.

The specification also reflects a shift in the category’s recent benchmarks. At the IFA trade show a year earlier, an all-in-one projector claiming 6,000 lumens was described as pushing into new territory. By IFA 2026, the report suggests that output near that level, together with 4K at 120Hz, is becoming a more familiar expectation among high-end launches. That trend gives buyers more choice, but also raises the importance of comparing measured performance rather than relying only on headline figures.

JMGO has built considerable placement range into the Iris Ultra Max. It sits on a motorized gimbal that can pan and tilt, allowing the projected image to be steered with a style of control likened to a Wii Remote. An optical zoom spanning 0.88:1 to 1.7:1 is joined by vertical lens shift of plus or minus 130 percent and horizontal shift of plus or minus 53 percent. Those adjustments are intended to help users position an image without sacrificing the advantages of optical alignment.

For players, the projector includes variable refresh rate support and automatic low-latency mode, features intended to reduce display delay and visible tearing. It also supports Dolby Vision HDR at 4K and 120Hz. Together, those capabilities make JMGO’s target clear: games and broadcasts with quick camera movement are being treated as central uses rather than secondary extras. Whether the full feature set works equally well across different sources will be among the practical questions after retail units arrive.

The Iris Ultra Max is expected to carry a regular price of $3,499. JMGO has set an introductory preorder price of $2,999 for orders beginning now, with shipping scheduled to start on October 19. The $500 difference gives early buyers a reason to commit before public reviews have had time to assess the projector. It also makes the initial offer a notable part of the launch strategy, not simply a routine availability notice.

There is a clear reason to treat the brightest claims cautiously. The report’s reviewer found JMGO’s earlier N3 Ultimate difficult to watch at its maximum output because the colors became distorted. That result does not determine how the Iris Ultra Max will perform, but it provides an important point of comparison for a model making an even larger brightness promise. Reviews will need to test color accuracy, contrast, gaming responsiveness and the usefulness of its placement controls before the projector’s headline specifications can be judged in everyday use.
